Welcome to my Car/Truck/Bike Models Page
I shoot models for several magazines and car clubs including Rolling Riders Magazine and Car Shows, IIDM Magazine and Car Shows. I shoot at the shows and do feature shoots outside of the shows. I also do separate shoots for models for their portfolios. How do you make it to me? It happens several ways. You may have been referred to my by the manager/editor of a show or magazine or I may have scouted you myself and the manager/editor approved you. Or one of your friends may had referred you to me. This page is to give you information to prepare for your shoot.
What is the theme?
Girls in bikinis and other wear shot with attractive cars/trucks/bikes and with other props.
Where will the photos be posted/printed?
That depends on your arrangement with the organization that we are shooting for. In the past they have been posted in the online and/or print editions of magazines, and on websites. Images have been used in calendars and books and even for stock photo use with companies like Getty's Images. Models have used the images to get into other Major Magazines and Companies!
Who models?
A female who is generally fit and attractive and looks good in a bikini that has been selected by the editor or myself. I shoot men as well.
Is there pay?
No cash payment from the photographer. Most of the time models are shooting TFP to get the exposure of being in the magazine and that helps their career. They also get edited photos from the shoot 1-2 weeks after the shoot is done in high resolution that they can use to build their portfolio and advertise their work.
Will I have to sign a model release?
You will have to sign a release for the magazine and the photographer.
Is there nudity?
No.
Where are the shoots at?
In and around Goldsboro, NC at private and public places. Car shows in the local area. LJ Images studio in Mount Olive, NC for studio shots.
Who is at the shoot?
Photographer and sometimes an assistant.
Car/truck/bike owner and maybe 1 additional person with them.
Model and her escort.
Do you provide wardrobe?
Normally no for location shoots but the studio has an extensive model wardrobe selection for studio shoots.
What do I wear?
Normally 4 sets of clothes that you look beautiful, sexy, and attractive in, with high heels (or boots for some sets).
If you don't mind wearing a bikini for one set that is always desired but not required!
Bikini not required!
Example
Set 1: Bikini and high heels (or shorts and sexy top)
Set 2: Shorts and sexy top.
Set 3: Jeans/Leggings and sexy top.
Set 4: Sexy dress
I will try to let you know what color the car/bike/truck is so you can try to complement it
Do you provide hair and make-up?
Normally no. You do your own.
How does a shoot go?
Model agrees to shoot and sends a photo of her ID proving her age (18 and older) to [email protected]
Model chooses between all outdoors shots or a combination of studio and outdoors shots.
Model and photographer agree on a date and location.
Photographer arranges location and the car, truck, and or bike to be shot.
Model shows up with hair and makeup already done.
Model signs model releases.
For single model feature shoots:
4 Looks are shot
60 shots with one bikini and car. (This is the primary and most important set for the magazine)
20 shots with second bikini and car.
15 shots with third set of clothes. (Models choice) Random background or studio shots depending on location and props.
15 shots with fourth set of clothes. (Models choice) Random background or studio shots depending on location and props.
Shoot is completed.
Photographer sends photos to magazine editor. Photographer edits at least top 5 for model and uploads them to a website for model to download from 1-2 weeks later.
Can I use the images to submit to other magazines, contests, or companies to be printed or used?
Yes. The top 5 images given to the model can be submitted to other magazines and contests but the photographer will note release the copyright. (This would allow the other company to alter and sell the images and do whatever they want with them and not even recognize the model, the magazine, or the photographer). If they want images with a copyright release the photographer will shoot an additional set of images for you for that purpose.
Can the model ask the photographer to shoot specific shots for her portfolio?
Yes, the model can negotiate with the photographer.
Does the model need to know how to pose with cars, trucks, and bikes?
The model does not need to be an expert at posing with vehicles but she does need to practice before the shoot.
Here is how to do it.
